Objective

Our research activities include:

• Microalgae isolation from diverse aquatic environments, including fresh, brackish, and marine water bodies
• Molecular and biochemical characterization of microalgae strains to unlock their unique properties and potential applications
• Strain selection and optimization for various applications, including: Food and feed production;   Biomolecule and nutraceutical development;   Environmental applications, such as bioremediation and carbon sequestration
• Maintenance of a diverse culture collection of microalgae, serving as a valuable resource for research and development

• Microalgae-based food products: functional foods, vegan alternatives, fortified milk products, healthy snacks, and beverages
• Carbon capture and utilization solutions: our flagship project, "PRANA" - a domestic liquid tree
• Aquaculture solutions: live feed microalgae and algal water quality management solutions for sustainable aquaculture practices
• Agricultural solutions: microalgae-based bio-stimulants and biofertilizers for farm applications
